ViDe VideoAccess listserv up and running

The ViDe VideoAccess working group has established a listserv to support its Digital Rights Management (DRM) Initiative. Rights-L will:

º Enable sharing of information on DRM;
º Serve as a forum for discussion of a DRM initiative to serve R&E's needs;
º Engage the R&E community in existing DRM projects and cooperative development of DRM solutions;

Currently, over 300 individuals have subscribed to Rights-L, representing a wide range of institutions and organizations, both within the US and internationally. To subscribe to Rights-L, send a message to listserv@listserv.utk.edu with the text "subscribe rights-l My Name" or visit the archives page.

Managing Digital Video Content Conference

The recent Managing Digital Video Content conference was a two-day workshop on current and emerging standards in the digital content management field. The conference marked the first time that the four sponsors Southeastern Universities Research Association, ViDe, Internet2, and the Coalition for Networked Information – had worked together.
