| Welcome to the Web site of the 5th annual
SURA/ViDe workshop. This workshop has grown to be
a recognized learning venue providing timely and
valuable information on collaborative conferencing,
streaming
video, and storing/serving video-on-demand. Each
year's workshop is more groundbreaking and informative
than the previous one, thanks to the increasing
participation of ViDe members, presenters, and vendors,
and 2003 was certainly no exception to this statement.
The workshop was held at GCATT, the Georgia
Centers for Advanced Telecommunication Technologies,
in Atlanta, Georgia, March 24-26, 2003.
Pre-Workshop Conference: Using Dublin
Core and MPEG-7 to Describe Digital Video
This preconference provided an overview
of the metadata content description standards Dublin
Core and MPEG-7 as well as introducing the draft ViDe
Video Access Application Profile for Dublin Core and
MPEG-7. The workshop was held on Monday, March 24,
from 8:30 - 4 PM. For more details, see the workshop
program page.
