Kewin
Stoeckigt is a Network Engineer working in the area of Real-time communication
in AARNet. He is based in Melbourne, Australia. As part of his role, Kewin
is responsible for the Voice and Video service within AARNet and the sector.
Furthermore Kewin is the Project Manager for AARNet's involvement as a Tier-2
Registrar in the Australian ENUM trial.
Kewin has an extensive background in the area of Real-time communication.
Prior joining AARNet, Kewin worked for the Computing Center of Max Planck
Gesellschaft and the Institute of Plasmaphysics, Munich, Germany, were he
was responsible for the design of the video network. Until today, Kewin published
multiple papers and presentations in the area of H.323 videoconferencing,
which includes his BSc thesis (translation from German title: "Videoconferencing
through Firewalls"), as well as a book chapter in the H.350 Cookbook.
Kewin is a regular speaker at multiple conferences in Australia, Europe, Asia
and North America.
Kewin holds a BSc in Computer Science and Law from the University of Goettingen
(Germany) and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Auckland (New
Zealand). Currently Kewin is working on his PhD in the Department of Electronic
and Electric Engineering at the University of Melbourne (Australia).
